Mr. Shripad Sapkal
Founder – Stepin Adventure
Mr. Shripad Sapkal is the founder of Stepin Adventure and has been climbing for over 25 years. He has a lot of experience in sports climbing and mountaineering. He has competed in many climbing events and also organized important competitions at the National, Zonal, and State levels all over India. He’s a Certified National Judge for sport climbing and has completed special training courses in Singapore in 2017 and 2020. Mr. Sapkal has judged major events like the Asian Youth Championship 2017 and the IFSC Bouldering World Cup 2016. He is currently the Secretary of the Sport Climbing Association of Maharashtra and the Treasurer of the Sport Climbing Federation of India. Under his leadership, Stepin Adventure has completed over 150+ climbing walls and adventure parks in India. In 2005, he was honored as the ‘Best Mountaineer’ by Girimitra Sammellan. He was also part of an International Climbing Camp in the UK and holds the record for the First Ascent of three peaks in India.
Ms. Prajakta Ghode
Operation Head – Stepin Adventure
Ms. Prajakta Ghode is the Operations Head at Stepin Adventure and has 15 years of experience in sport climbing and mountaineering. She was the first Indian woman to be a Coach and Team Manager for Sport Climbing at the Asian Games 2018 in Indonesia. She has also worked with the International Federation of Sport Climbing (IFSC) on the Rules Commission and is a Level 1 National Judge for sport climbing in India. Prajakta has completed the IFSC Continental Judges Course in Singapore in 2017 and 2020. She has judged several important events, including the Asian Youth Championship 2017, the IFSC Bouldering World Cup 2016, and the IFSC-ACC Asian Kids Championship 2023. Her experience and knowledge are crucial to our success and the quality of our climbing projects.
